1. Meditation through breathing:

There are different ways to meditate. However this technique of meditation is most popular one. The practitioner must learn to bring his thoughts to his breathing patterns. With shifting thoughts one should try to breathe slowly and even hold the breath in a particular state for longer duration. The purpose of this technique is to make you learn to concentrate. You need to avoid any other sound or any other distraction in your mind. Just observe your breathing patterns. It is said that gradually you have to imagine that out of all the energies that you inhale within your mind and body- you exhale every negative energy and emotion out. You start to begin rejuvenated and refreshed with every breath that you perform. Continue this practice for as long as you feel comfortable.

2. Focusing on white light:

During this type of meditation technique the practitioner is asked to close his eyes and take some essential deep breaths. Thereby, one should imagine the concentration of an intense white light in between the centre of both eyes. Try to bring your focus on to this light. Creatively this white light depicts peace of mind. Ignore all movements around. Just try to find your peaceful energies being concentrated here. You need to perceive that you are recharging your body with positive and peaceful energies from this source of white light which is available within your own body.

The purpose of this meditation is to make you aware of your strength and resourcefulness. You are taught to learn to focus and come at peace in order to attain the maximum potential out of yourself.

3. Meditation at “om”:

One of the most effective and widely known meditation techniques is with the sound of “Om”. It is an ancient technique to concentrate your energies and take a deep breath. While you exhale you should chant “om” with the air that goes out. Try to enhance the time of “om” in slow motion as long as you can do. Think about your higher self getting connected to the spiritual soul who is trying to give you message of peace and learning.

These are some of the most popular meditation techniques that are tried, tested and proven since ages. One doesn’t need any special training or device to start doing meditation through any of these. It can be started at any peaceful place at any point of time.
