UPSC Exams 2018

Union Public Service Commission is the central recruiting agency of India which regulates a big number of examinations and is the only medium for the candidates who want to join All Indian Services and Group A & Group P.

The services for which the UPSC conducts the examination are Indian Administrative Services, Indian Civil Services, Indian Police Services, Central Armed Police Forces Assistant Commandant, etc. Established on 1 October 1926 as Public Service Commission, it was later reconstituted as Federal Public Service Commission by the Government of India Act, 1935 and then finally reconstituted as Union Public Service Commission. The headquarter of the commission is situated at Dholpur House in New Delhi and is under the chairmanship of Prof. David R. Syiemlieh is its current Chairman since 4 January 2017, and he will be retiring on 21 January 2018.

UPSC Exams 2018 Details

There is a total of 24 examinations that UPSC will organize in the upcoming year and the beginning will be made by the Indian Engineering services examination which will be conducted on 7th January. Then, the Combined Defence Services Examination will be organized on 4th February and after three days, the notification for Civil services and Indian Forest Services will be unveiled. Both of these UPSC 2018 exams will be supervised on 3rd June as IFS is a part of Indian Civil services but due to some legal reasons, UPSC manages the IFS examination separately. The civil services examination subsists on two levels that are Preliminary and Mains. The mains examination is constituted of two other portions that are the written exam and the personal interview.

Online Registrations For UPSC Examinations

As UPSC regulates a large number of tests and thus there are different application form submission procedures for different recruitments. Most of the exams use requisites the online application form filling mechanism which can be fulfilled using the official website of the Union Public Service Commission that is www.upsc.gov.in. If the commission is inviting only online applications then the aspirants should take the point seriously and submit their registration forms as soon as possible before the last date of the registration. Otherwise, once the proceedings get over, the officials will not entertain any of the application forms and the candidates must have to take a U-turn for the test and be capable to try next time.

About the Most Famous Exam in India – Civil Services Examination

The Conducting body organizes the CSE examination every year into two stages. There are some fixed eligibility norms that every candidate must follow to apply online for any of the posts under this major service. The Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Forest Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. It is conducted in two phases – a preliminary examination consisting of two objective-type papers (general studies and aptitude test), and the main examination consisting of nine papers of conventional (essay) type, followed by a personality test (interview).
