The end of this conflict is globally known when World War ended and How and Who were its Protagonists..!!
But How did it begin? The official date was 1 September 1939, but until the first attack, there was a long journey of tension between the powers, a strip and loosen that lasted for years until the spark finally exploded.
After the signing of the Munich agreement (September 29, 1938), by which Germany annexed the Sudetenland, Great Britain, and France hoped that Hitler’s like war aspirations would be appeased, but nothing further from reality.
In a few days, the evacuation of Czechoslovakia began and the German troops were taking control of its new territories. British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and his French counterpart, Édouard Daladier, returned triumphantly to their respective countries with the idea that there would be no war. But Hitler, who had a vocation as a conqueror rather than a diplomat had other ideas in mind.
On August 23, 1939, to the surprise of all, The Soviet Union (USSR) and Nazi Germany decided to leave aside their many differences and join forces. The Ribbentrop-Mólotov pact came into force, whereby both powers agreed not to attack each other. In addition, the pact included the partition of Eastern Europe between the two powers.
Germany, having no enemies on the Russian front decided on 26 August to invade Poland. Immediately Great Britain signed with Poland the mutual defense, and the invasion was delayed. But not for much longer. The SS heated the atmosphere by simulating an alleged attack by the Polish troops on a radio antenna, and thus obtained a motive to justify their invasion.
On September 1, 1939, the Germans launched the first attack on a Polish city. They bombed Wileun without mercy, which destroyed 75% of the region and killing without distinction between military and civilians. Here goes the official begin of the Second World War began.
