250 Million Years Reptile Fossils were discovered by Scientists

A marine reptile fossils unearthed embryo brought in Yunnan Province, southwest China, showing the creature rather lay spawn. Marine reptiles discovered scientific name Dinocephalosaurus, lived about 245 million years ago in the Triassic.

Dinocephalosaurus presence on Earth earlier than dinosaurs, changing the previous judgment of the scientists on the evolution of the vertebrate system, Reuters reported Tuesday 14/2. Mammal or reptile species including several snakes and lizards are certain animals produce offspring.

Dinocephalosaurus is the first species in the group of vertebrate species, including birds, crocodiles, dinosaurs and extinct flying reptiles reproduce this way, the paleontologist Jun Liu at the University of Technology Contract Hefei, China, said.

Dinocephalosaurus creature is the longest necks compared to body size. It has a length of approximately 4 m body, including the neck grows to 1.7 meters. Dinocephalosaurus swimming fins as oars, small head, large mouth with many teeth to hunt fish. “I think people will be surprised to see Dinocephalosaurus sea monster body, with a small head and long neck snaked”, the paleontologist Mike Benton at Bristol University, UK, a member of the team, said.

Dinocephalosaurus body similar Plesiosaur, long-necked marine reptiles breed in the Scottish Loch Ness monster. Plesiosaur developed after the dinosaurs no kinship ties with Dinocephalosaurus. According to the researchers, the spawn not bring advantages for Dinocephalosaurus, helping it not been ashore to lay eggs and the loss of predators such as sea turtle eggs.
