Artificial Island Planned as North Sea Wind Power Hub for Europeans
1 min read

The island is equipped with solar panels and wind turbines that can power tens of millions of people in six European countries. Energinet, the Danish government's power company, is working with a number of power companies in Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany to build an island powering tens of millions of Europeans by 2050.
"It sounds crazy and fictitious, but the island at Dogger Bank can make it cheaper and more efficient in the future," said Torben Glar Nielsen, Energinet's engineering director.
